Line 3 Replacement Program (Canada)

Return to project

Community Outreach

The Line 3 Replacement Program (L3RP) will comprise the latest and most advanced pipeline technology, and the new Line 3 will provide much needed incremental capacity to support Canadian crude oil production growth, and U.S. and Canadian refinery demand.

Replacing Line 3 is in the public interest because it reduces both the frequency and the magnitude of ongoing maintenance activities that would otherwise occur in order to maintain the safe operation of Line 3. This means significant benefits to landowners, local communities, and the environment. Replacing Line 3 is also in the public interest because it would better serve the current and future petroleum requirements of the general public, who are dependent on refineries to meet their refined petroleum product needs.

Listening to you, understanding your views, and working to address your concerns are important to Enbridge. To date, we've participated in thousands of engagement activitiesincluding community meetings, phone calls, Coffee Talks, e-mails, Open Houses and other consultation activities—regarding the L3RP.

Our team will continue to keep you informed with program update newsletters and future engagement activities.

We encourage you to ask questions, share your concerns, and talk about your interests related to the L3RP.

Manitoba Open Houses (July 2018)

As part of our commitment to keeping communities informed about our work, Enbridge will be holding Construction Open Houses in Manitoba in July 2018.

Local residents can learn more about the Line 3 Pipeline Replacement Project work we’ll be doing this summer near your community.

Local business owners can visit with representatives of Enbridge, Banister and SA Energy Group, and learn how your business may be able to benefit from the upcoming construction activity.
